June... whew!

June has rushed by with the swiftness of an afternoon with dear friends. It's been a month of transition for us as we prepare to move southward... onto, back-to Virginia. There have been lots of "lasts" recently, with more on the way. We will miss New England, and Massachusetts. We will miss the friends we've made and the particular style of living. We've spent most of our married life, by far, here (two weeks until 9 years for those keeping track!). The change will be deceptively hard, I bet.

We really did not expect to call Charlottesville "home" again, but the we're confident and excited about the move. The ever-faithful God has shown himself abundantly in this process, for which we're thankful. He is our home and our resting place, regardless of the zip code.

We'll be homeowners as of Monday the 6th of July, and look forward to settling in later in the month. Hard to believe. I hope we keep the gratitude and excitement without the complaining about costs!

Meanwhile, Will keeps growing, changing, learning, talking, snuggling, walking, and being fiestily-silly. He can be such a handful, but neither Kelly and I have experienced so much joy and true love as when we're all laughing together.

Here's a shot... about 80 seconds if you have the time... of Will mimicking the "white noise" sound of the TV, playing, and just being generally happy.

Love to you each,
Maurers
