We've taken about 24,567 pictures over the last month, but of course none have made it to the blog yet. What a [sweet, tiring] whirlwind! We arrived, with all our parts in place, to Charlottesville on Saturday evening, July 18th. A host of sacrificial friends from Mass helped make the move manageable from start to finish - loading the truck, cleaning, traveling, unpacking, etc... Thank you!
We've also experienced love and grace as we've moved in and adjusted to Charlottesville. Different people have given of their time, resources, and love to make us feel welcome.
A couple pictures outside the new home on day 1 ....
We've had some long days and tiring nights, but it would be hard to imagine a smoother experience. I don't start work until Friday Aug 14th, and so we've been able to do many of the errands and "new to the town" responsibilities together.
Of the three of us, Will has done the best - he hasn't missed a beat, even when Kelly and I have craved routine and less chaos. He has slept normally, played hard, and been at his most flexible when the adventure is at it's highest (for some reason, he has the hardest time on the slow days around the house - boredom?)
Here's a picture of Will at his table....
Here's a shot of Will at UVa for the first time...
